"Tell me about yourself"
Anonymous
I focused on my work career, used various jobs I had, to point out my strengths and how they would serve me well in this position. Also took the opportunity to address the question "Why do you want this job if you were in a manager position previously?" (before she asked me!) I also mentioned that I had some part-time jobs more recently, to allow for a more flexible schedule so I could deal with some family issues, and at this point there are no "issues" and I am anxious to return to an office environment. I had read an article from Glass door about how to answer the infamous "Tell me about yourself" interview question. It really kept me on track, in terms of sticking to professional information, relating aspects of previous jobs to the job I was interviewing for, and had addressed many issues which I had worked out in my mind, and was therefore, able to feel confident and comprehensive when I answered. So thank you Glass Door! I am amazed at how long the process takes these days. I am waiting to be called back for a second interview (and was told it would take at least 2 weeks) and there may even be a third interview!
