I do not work for free, creating faux documents that are not a fair assessment. No Technical Writer with 20 years experience should be asked to do this after sending multiple samples of original work. Did they even look at that? I do not think so. I'm not spending any time on a weekend again, having not met anyone on the team, not really having a chance to learn the audience or products. This was laughable and I am glad I had already decided to decline anyway. Who would want to work for a company that already distrusts and frankly disrespects the applicant before they have a chance to talk to a hiring manager.
