Challenge: Monday morning at US bank, Assistant manager and I and our teller. Teller calls in sick and wont come in even for a few hours. The assistant manager and I say that we can handle it and I go buy a monster energy drink just to be on the safe side. When the 9 AM rush comes someone has a problem with their account that I do not know how to solve. Instead of saying "I dont know how to fix this" I let the customer know that i would be happy to have the assistant manager help them with the problem. Meanwhile, the line is growing considerably and while the assistant manager is helping the customer with their account it leaves me as the only banker to tackle the huge line of people. But i take a deep breath and handle each customer as if they are the only ones in line. I thank them all for their patience and successfully clear the rush on my own without making anyone angry.
