A previous sales manager always wanted our whole team (which spanned a radius of about 100 miles of Chicago) to help out with home shows in each sales rep’s territory. After abiding the first few times, we then explained that it was a loss of productivity for the reps who couldn’t benefit due to being outside of their territory (mind you we weren’t paid for attending the home shows). They ended up only having reps help who shared the same territory.
