Do you have experience with SQL?
Anonymous
I disclosed that I have taken a SQL course and can perform basic joins, at which point the interviewer told me that SQL knowledge wasn't actually needed for the role because all queries are pre-written. This left me questioning why SQL was made out to be a qualifier at all if the role doesn't require writing any code. It felt like a checkbox requirement that didn't reflect the actual day to day needs of the position, which was frustrating given that candidates may be screening themselves out unnecessarily over a skill the job doesn't actually use.
