I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Estée Lauder Companies (Memphis, TN) in Jan 2012
Interview
I was offered job after management witnessed me making up faces as a beauty advisor during an event at one department store. They like that I was working fast yet selling through on the products I suggested during the makeover. The field manager from NYC introduced herself then ask me if I'd like to work as a resident makeup artist at another (more prestigious) store. Next I interviewed with the store's department manager. We discussed my previous experience in cosmetics and retail over the years. She and the account manager explained my duties as a resident makeup artist which included coordinating events. They discussed the areas that sales were declining and ask for my ideas for ramping up sells and creating loyal customers. I filled out the necessary applications and tax forms and started work on the next weeks schedule.
