Tough customers want to be reassured that you are actually listening to them and have their best interests in mind. Empathy is key.The best way to deal with a tough customer is to ask questions. Also you have to manage expectations. If their ideal is obviously something you can't fulfill, be honest- "Well that is something I can't accomplish but here's what I can do."
