I was able to explain my schooling history, where normally employers just look at my major (music) and write it off as not applicable. I have extensive experience in ensemble roles and solo roles, and between those and experience with constant practice toward performance, I got a lot more applicable experience than most employers realize. I appreciated being asked about it even though it doesn't appear applicable on first glance.
