My answer was that I am most familiar with the clients/projects I am assigned to. The hiring manager was not happy with this response and asked me the same question 2 more times during the interview process I changed the subject each time and spoke only of past clients. I felt it was unprofessional to blatantly ask and then try to obtain my current employers’ client list repeatedly. She even pointed to her white board during the interview process and stated that list I am viewing is a current list of her clients in this area.
