Well to be specific, I have 5 Years of experience in Mainframe Testing (and partially have Production Support Experience as well) and with a Package of 6,25,000/Year. When i had a discussion with the HR. He told that he will give 7 Lakhs and then i told i can not join with 7 Lakhs , Then he said that 7.7 is the final offer , I can not give more than 7.7 Lakhs and location is in Chennai Well here is the deal , Salary offered = 7.7 Lakhs Variable pay = 6-8%(so lets put it 7%. So salary comes to 7 Lakhs) So the annual Salary they give me is 7 Lakhs. So my increase in Pay is 80,000 if i change the company. Well Dear HR am not dumb and change a company for 80,000 and that too changing from Bangalore to chennai will cost me another 80,000 other than what u give. So i have to put in 1 Lakh toward rent,Advance, Setting up of home and other iteneries. So my cost of changing my entire family is more than what you offer me . DO YOU THINK ANY EXPERIENCED PERSON WITH 5 YEARS OF EXTENSIVE MAINFRAME WILL JOIN FOR JUST 8% Increase in the PAY. I hope not """" well if i offer you the same thing will you accept""" I dont think so. So if you want a qualified person like me , Please offer a good offer so that i can join.
