I currently work in the US Army which is still predominately male, DA Civilians are more often middle age or older, and unionized. So, It should not be a problem. The railroad business is often conducted outdoors in hot, cold, windy, wet, frozen, humid, dusty, or some other uncomfortable climate. It is just the nature of working outside.
