The recruiter provides materials for you to prepare a sales pitch for the hiring manager. They provide case studies and information on how to deliver a pitch. Unfortunately the hiring manager didn't follow the pitch format suggested in the provided case studies. After my pitch, I was told that I did very well, but forgot to mention that (1) this was a solution based on the Android platform and that (2) I didn't stress minute details from the case study. Those two suggestions seemed to be nitpicking by the hiring manager to find something wrong. Honestly, they are looking for people who will follow a script and will only follow a script.
