I explained a situation at my previous employer where I had switched roles in the organization to a client facing representative. I had a client that I had not met with. One of my managers was able to schedule an appointment. On the day I met with this client for the first time, the fired our company on the spot. I was unaware of the turmoil that preceded me with a previous representative. After the meeting I waited a day and, on my own, emailed the client and asked if I could come back in for a meeting. They agreed and by the end of the meeting, they were back on as a client.
