Underwriting or Risk selection is a technical area, and so the interviewer attempted to test my knowledge by asking me to give an example of the selection process.

I decided to cite an example of an applicant who presented with a cardiac anomaly, a heart murmur, to be specific. I described the investigative steps, which included attending physician's report and additional tests, that should be taken to arrive at a final decision.
