We check in our system whether we have auth# available. If yes call ins and provide that auth#. If that Auth # is incorrect than ask ins whether they have any other hospital claim for the same patient for the same DOS. If yes tell ins to process. If not ask ins can we obtain retro auth# and work accordingly. If Auth # is not found in system task it to clinet
