It was started in 1956 by Chuck Williams who was from Sonoma, CA. He opened a small shop that offered kitchenware that was imported from France. Now, there are different brands and space Williams Sonoma occupies. They have homeware, furnishings, kitchenware, toys, even clothes through some other brands.
