Selling to the customer is when you do what is expected of you. Servicing to the customer, however, is when you go above and beyond what is expected to make them feel comfortable at all costs.

Selling is meeting the customer's needs. Service is creating additional needs for the customer and then meeting those. I worked there for five years. Trust me when I tell you this is textbook advice lol
