I went on to respond, "I asked in advance the position I would be interviewing for today, but HR said my background was of interest, so the role would be decided latter." Next, I asked "what positions are available, so I can assess which ones my skill set would be applicable with." I revived a response, "we have a lot of open positions", but I walked out of the THIRD interview without anyone willing to define a job role.
