I am qualified for the CSR position because I meet TPWD standards for this position. All listed qualifications on the application I have. All KSA listed I have. I have more than 5 years experience in Customer Service, In Park and Nature related work; in store operations and cashier /clerical work. Additionally I am a Certified Texas Master Naturalist. I have extensive experience in office procedures, clerical procedures, computers and software programs used to perform accounting and create reports. I am experienced with working with the public, high volume transactions, emergencies. I have handled multiple emergencies involving snake bite, animal bites, bee stings, spider bites, even an alligator attack. I am qualified to provide excellent customer service, I am knowledgeable about park rules and regulations. I am experienced and skilled on a cash register. I have handled large amounts of cash in very different work environments, from bars and lodges; to restaurants , convenient stores and gift shops to malls, franchises and Park Headquarters at a State Park and River Authority. Collecting fees, revenues, monies and all forms of payment and accounting for those collections with high degree of accuracy. My basic skills in communications, phones, math, verbal and written communication, counting money, grammar and writing and math are all part if my skill set. I am skilled on basic office equipment: computer, adding machine, calculator, copy machine, postage, preparing out-going mail and processing and distributing incoming mail ; fax machine, scanner, bar code swipe, register drawer, laminator, printer, I have complimentary skills that add to what I can offer park visitors as well as the public in general. Excellent knowledge of plant species of this region, wildlife gardening, wildlife, and nature. My over 2000 hours of volunteer work in nature, parks, and wildlife refuges gives me a wealth of knowledge to share with the Park community. My seasonal position at Brazos Bend State Park makes me familiar both with TPWD rules, regulations and guidelines; as well as the BBSP 5000 acres of park. I am very familiar, first hand, with the nature recreation and facilities and trails on this park specifically. I am currently a member of the Texas Master Naturalist Coastal Prairie Chapter , the BBSP Volunteer Organization. My hobbies are Spanish Language study and plant ID. My experience with wildlife and plants of Texas happens to be specific to the Coastal prairies and Riparian woodlands of this region. Alligator facts - moderately knowledgeable.
