PlayStation Interview Question
Work out what a seemingly bizarre/contrived unix shell script does, re-write it more simply to still do the same bizarre function.

Ploughed through ~6 unix command man pages I've never had to use in ~20 years of being a software engineer, then reproduced the same behaviour using another couple of commands I'll probably never use again either - that's an hour of my life I ain't getting back.
