All the HRs of such companies are like this only, they are wasting the time of candidates & exploiting them. Good you got saved, as in most companies interviewers take the interviews like you will designing or building a next generation software/application/system but at least in such Wissen like companies you will be doing the junk work to clean the mess spread by others or their clients.
