JOB DESCRIPTION

The Escrow Processor is primarily responsible for assisting Escrow Officers in accurately preparing a real estate transaction for closing. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and title officers to gather necessary information for closing.
• Order and review title commitments, property inspections, and other necessary reports.
• Prepare closing documents, including settlement statements, deeds, and affidavits.
• Collaborate with the title department to resolve title issues such as legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, all tax liens, abstracts of judgments, bankruptcies, boundary disputes, encroachments, lis pendens, etc.
• Coordinate the signing of closing documents and ensure proper execution.
• Oversee the issuance of checks, bills and statements, receipts, and any other documents.
• Assist customers and clients with closing related questions.
• Prior to disbursement, confirm all funds are collected, all appropriate documents are checked for accuracy, signatures are collected, and acknowledgements and legal descriptions are correct.
• Collect all taxes due, HOA dues, and any delinquencies and/or principal and interest.
• Ensure all payoffs have been collected, mailed, delivered or wired according to instructions.
• Verify against the HUD statement that all disbursements have been paid correctly.
• Prior to recording, verify all legal documents for correct acknowledgements, legal, and lien information.
• Manage and develop client relationships to encourage future real estate closing transactions.
• Provide high level of customer service and develop ongoing escrow referrals for escrow transactions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum two years’ experience as an administrative assistant, executive assistant, legal assistant, escrow assistant.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field.
• Paralegal certification a plus.
• Title license a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software like Monday.com and industry-specific software like RamQuest.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, typing on a keyboard, and viewing computer monitor(s).
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Occasional overtime, particularly during project closings.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
