Job Overview

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. You will drive the modernization of software solutions by transitioning applications from monolithic architectures to microservices within secure containerized environments. You will guide development teams in leveraging DevSecOps pipelines, deploying microservices, and sustaining a scalable factory using both commercial and open‑source tools. This position is fully remote; however, it will require frequent travel to Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Software Modernization and Architecture Transformation: Leads efforts to refactor or redesign existing solutions into microservices operating in hardened, containerized environments.
• DevSecOps Pipeline Integration: Works with development teams to create or update applications that fully utilize CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and secure development practices.
• Technical Coaching and Team Guidance: Provides instruction and hands‑on guidance to teams throughout the solution development process, ensuring best practices and consistent implementation.
• Microservices Deployment and Sustainment: Builds, deploys, and maintains a microservices factory leveraging commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) and open‑source technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field of study.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must possess a DoD Secret clearance.

Pay: $82,460.00 - $214,670.00 per year
