Defense Technical Recruiting (DTR) is recruiting on behalf of Exigo Corp. in Colorado Springs, CO. Exigo is seeking a Senior Cyber Architect Program Manager to support the Defensive Cyber Operations for Space (DCO-S) effort in Colorado Springs, CO. This position serves as a senior technical authority for the DCO-S enterprise, responsible for driving system architecture, technical performance, and integration of commercial and government cybersecurity tools and capabilities across the DCO-S mission systems and the space enterprise.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in shaping and executing acquisition strategies that accelerate delivery of operational capability to the warfighter. Responsibilities include integrating into Architecture Flight activities, optimizing and advising acquisition processes, and driving long-range planning through system and programmatic roadmaps. The role also requires close coordination with external organizations, contractors, and technical teams responsible for the development, administration, sustainment, and execution of the DCO-S portfolio.
This individual will serve as a key integrator across the 6th Sustainment Squadron, Mission Delta 6, Space Systems Command, Combined Forces Command, and external cyber mission partners, ensuring alignment of operational requirements, sustainment priorities, acquisition timelines, and mission outcomes. Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic communication, and the ability to translate mission needs into executable acquisition solutions.
Exigo delivers advisory and assistance services in architecture, engineering, and program management to National Security Space customers across multiple locations nationwide.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Cyber Architecture Support and Program Oversight:
- Responsible in providing systems engineering and architecture support
- Evaluate technical approach and cyber solutions, architect solutions integration within DCO-S framework
- Supports and manages systems engineering team to support cyber capabilities design, prototyping, and implementation
- Assists customer in defining technical scope and roadmaps
- Responsible for Program Oversight, Stakeholder Management, Risk Compliance, Process Improvement, Budget and Resource Management, and oversee various contracting efforts
- Participates in daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly meetings and events as required by leadership.
- Liaisons to other Flights and organizations as needed
- Lead interface to Mission Delta 6, other Mission Deltas (CYSs), CFC, SSC/SSIO, Test Communities (17 TES & 47/48 TS), AF/ELICSAR/Enlighten Team, and possible other contract initiatives
- Develop, maintain, and execute acquisition strategies aligned with mission requirements and DoD policy.
- Oversee resource allocation, integrated schedules, and risk mitigation efforts to deliver mission capabilities on time and within scope.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and organizational requirements while maintaining operational agility.
- Support all functions directed by the 6th Sustainment Squadron Commander and staff, while coordinating with internal and external mission partners.
Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Advise Government leadership at the O-6, GS-15, O-5, and Program Manager levels on acquisition strategy, execution status, risk posture, and resourcing priorities.
- Serve as the principal acquisition liaison among senior leadership, technical teams, contractors, and mission partners.
- Deliver clear, concise, and decision-focused communication on program status, key risks, achievements, and recommended courses of action.
- Build and sustain trusted relationships across cross-functional organizations to enhance collaboration and mission success.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of cybersecurity professionals in support of DCO-S priorities.
- Provide guidance on program management, systems engineering and architecture best practices, adaptive pathways, documentation standards, and disciplined program management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and professional growth across the Acquisition Flight and broader 6th Sustainment Squadron workforce.
Budget and Resource Management
- Conduct analysis and provide recommendations to maximize resource efficiency and mission impact.
- Monitor program performance and adjust execution plans to meet evolving operational priorities.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer or a closely related field.
- Experience: 15+ years of DoD/IC or relevant industry experience in program management supporting complex technical programs, with direct work in cybersecurity and systems engineering
- Knowledge: Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, cross-functional programs from initiation to completion. Experience with SOWs, PWSs, and contract/agile delivery frameworks. Strong knowledge of program management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Skills and Abilities:

- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, IT infrastructure, and cyber threat environments.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex organizational workflows.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple concurrent programs.
- Demonstrated experience developing spend plans, resource strategies, and long-term program budgeting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Preferred 10+ years of cyber/IT experience
- Obtained cyber certification(s) (CISSP, Security+, CEH)
- 20+ years of DoD/IC or relevant industry experience in program management supporting complex technical programs, with direct work in cybersecurity and systems engineering
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer or a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- PMP or equivalent program management certification.
- Experience in SETA roles supporting a government program office
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change in a matrixed organizational structure.

Exigo may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation dependent on internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may include discretionary payments based on performance.
