detail-oriented Biller/Payment Poster to join our revenue cycle management team at our Burnsville, MN

location. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring accuracy and

efficiency in our billing and payment processes.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in payment posting, billing

accounts receivable (AR) work, insurance verification, and patient statement management. Proficiency in

Athena and AdvancedMD is preferred. This is an in-office role, providing the opportunity to work closely

with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure accurate billing, timely claims processing, and prompt reimbursement. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims, payer guidelines, and denial management, and can work independently to resolve complex billing issues.

Key Responsibilities

● Respond to patient billing inquiries and provide exceptional customer service regarding account balances and statements.

● Review, submit, and monitor insurance claims to ensure timely processing and reimbursement.

● Work aging reports to identify outstanding claims and follow up with insurance carriers for resolution.

● Investigate and resolve claim denials, payment discrepancies, and billing issues.

● Manage claim submissions through the Claims Center and resolve coding-related denials. ● Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to claim submission.

● Accurately post insurance payments, patient payments, contractual adjustments, and denials into the billing system.

● Maintain detailed documentation of payment activity, insurance verifications, and patient account communications.

● Stay current on payer policies, insurance regulations, coding updates, and healthcare billing compliance requirements.

Qualifications

● Previous experience in medical billing, insurance claims, or healthcare revenue cycle management required.

● Strong understanding of payer-specific rules, regulations, billing requirements, and reimbursement workflows.

● Proven experience managing aging accounts and following up on unpaid claims.

● Demonstrated ability to independently resolve claim denials and payer issues.

● Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
