Decision Philosophy is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious graduate student to join our team as an AI Decision Science & Social Research Intern. This paid internship provides an opportunity to apply research skills from psychology, philosophy, behavioral science, cognitive science, sociology, economics, or related disciplines to real-world societal challenges.

Our mission is to explore how artificial intelligence and decision science can help individuals and organizations make better decisions, reduce cognitive biases, and improve outcomes in areas that have significant social impact.

As an intern, you will work directly with leadership to investigate how AI can be used to better understand human behavior, decision-making, and social challenges such as:

• Drug and substance addiction, suicide prevention and mental well-being, child and parental abuse, family conflict and domestic challenges, educational decision-making Workplace stress and burnout, financial decision-making Public policy and community well-being

You will help develop research-driven AI frameworks that support better decision-making while exploring the intersection of technology, behavioral science, and philosophy.

Compensation: $20 per hour

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews on decision science, psychology, behavioral economics, philosophy, and related fields. Research how people make decisions under uncertainty, stress, bias, and limited information. Analyze societal challenges and identify opportunities where AI can support improved decision-making. Review academic research and translate findings into practical AI applications. Assist in developing AI-assisted decision frameworks and research methodologies. Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews to better understand human behavior and decision processes. Evaluate ethical, psychological, and social implications of AI-assisted decision support systems. Collaborate on research exploring how AI can improve outcomes in education, mental health, family well-being, and other socially important domains. Prepare research summaries, reports, and presentations for leadership. Explore emerging developments in AI, cognitive science, and decision intelligence.

Preferred Education:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's or PhD. Background in one or more of the following: Psychology Philosophy Behavioral Science Cognitive Science Sociology Behavioral Economics Decision Science Human Factors Public Policy Social Sciences
