Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Oversee daily operations, including supervising subcontractors and managing equipment/materials.
- Onsite Support: Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work adheres to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules and Two-Week Look Ahead reports.
- Inspections: Schedule and inspections.
- Professionalism: Maintain healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and standards.
- Communication: Act as the primary point of contact between subcontractors, project managers, and inspectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At Least 4+ Years of Proven experience in commercial construction with leadership capability.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong ability to read blueprints and understand structural, electrical, and mechanical documents.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Procore, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Communication & Problem Solving: Strong interpersonal skills to resolve disputes and handle logistical issues quickly.
- Education: Promotion through the trades or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
- Valid driver’s license.
Work Environment:
- The role is physically demanding, requiring standing, lifting and/or loading of materials, among other physical activities throughout the work day.
- Superintendents are typically the first to arrive and last to leave a site and may be on-call 24/7 for emergencies.
