A busy Importer/Exporter located in Cranston, RI is seeking a Purchasing/Sales Assistant. You must have Bi-lingual skills, English/Spanish. The perfect candidate will work to assist in the purchasing and sourcing in Spanish speaking areas as well as stepping into a Sales role for Spanish speaking customers too. Purchasing Duties will include communication with suppliers and vendors to understand current supply and to develop new ones. Candidate should also have some experience with the import and export procedures. Seafood experience is not necessary, but business experience is. You must be a fast learner, have excellent telephone skills, good computer skills, negotiation skills, exceptional organization, focus, and motivation. Must be hands on, dependable, accurate, and capable of multi tasking. Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral and be familiar with Microsoft software. You must like to talk, negotiate, discuss and develop purchase as well as sales orders for the import and export departments. We will review a candidate who has experience or education in a related field who is capable and confident that they can learn through specific direction. Candidate must be dependable and able to work effectively with other departments and Management within the company and be able to work as a team player as well as independently. This is a full time position located in Cranston, RI and an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate also.
