JOB TITLE: Process Assistant Engineer
LOCATION: Greenville, North Carolina
SHIFT: 12-hour shifts, 2-2-3 rotating schedule
JOB SUMMARY:
—— Primarily responsible for optimizing the manufacturing process of photovoltaic cells to improve production efficiency and product quality.
—— Develop process flows, monitor production parameters, analyze data to optimize cell performance, and resolve technical issues in production.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shift handover: Attend daily shift handover meetings, arrive at the work site 5 minutes in advance, and conduct handover briefings on shift indicators, abnormalities, and machine operation status.

Pre-shift checklist: Assist technicians with pre-shift checks, complete checklist records and archiving for all processes in accordance with the checklist document. If check results fall outside the set range, confirm the start time and notify engineers to verify the impact; if actual values fail to meet set standards, notify the equipment team for assistance.

Production line patrol: Inspect incoming material appearance, machine alarm information, material Q-TIME, workshop 5S conditions, proper use of tooling and fixtures, and equipment operation specifications. If requirements are not met, provide timely feedback to relevant department personnel for adjustment and improvement, and complete related form records.

SPC optimization: Conduct daily SPC monitoring, record test results, and make timely adjustments and optimizations if abnormalities occur.

Workshop abnormality response: Address machine alarms, incoming/outgoing material appearance issues, and SPC abnormalities; respond promptly to requests from other departments with feedback and corrective improvements.

Track the entire process experiment lifecycle, ensure experimental accuracy, record key parameters and observations, and systematically collect, organize, and archive experimental reports.

Daily work report: Compile daily reports including shift SPC data, rework data and root causes, abnormality logs, shift handover notes, and process indicator ratios.

Machine maintenance support: Assist with production equipment maintenance, and verify that post-maintenance machine conditions and parameters meet process requirements.

Assist engineers in verifying process indicators, adjusting machine process parameters, and maintaining/ resolving production line abnormalities.

On-site safety and emergency response: Serve as the first responder to on-site incidents (employee injuries, disputes, minor gas/chemical leaks, water leaks, etc.), including on-site control, initial containment, evacuation coordination, and reporting to prevent escalation.

Maintain 5S management (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) in the work area.

Perform other tasks assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education Background:

Bachelor’s degree or above (or equivalent). Preferred majors include Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Semiconductors, New Energy, or Optics-related fields.
Experience:

At least 1 year of work experience in solar cell or semiconductor manufacturing;

Willing to wear cleanroom suits, gloves, and masks during work;

Received systematic professional training in process flow, quality control (e.g., SPC), and production and operations management.
