Project Scheduler

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Project Scheduler to assist in engineering and equipment supply projects by creating, updating, and analyzing detailed project schedules throughout the project's timeline. This role will involve working closely with Project Managers and various teams to establish realistic schedules, monitor progress, identify potential risks, and ensure projects are completed on time and as per contractual obligations.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, critical path scheduling experience, and the ability to collaborate with different departments to keep projects on course.

Main Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and modify detailed project schedules following industry best practices and project contractual requirements.
• Develop, manage, and update Level 4 resource-loaded Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules.
• Track project progress, identify schedule implications, and suggest corrective measures when necessary.
• Analyze schedule performance and provide regular progress reports to Project Managers and leadership teams.
• Ensure schedule accuracy by integrating project updates, milestone adjustments, task completions, and meeting outcomes.
• Coordinate scheduling tasks across different departments such as engineering, procurement, project management, and other project stakeholders.
• Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to aid in project planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Conduct baseline comparisons, forecasting, and schedule analysis to evaluate project risks and recovery strategies.
• Assist with contingency planning by collaborating with Project Management and Project Controls.
• Identify critical path activities, schedule constraints, and potential project delays while facilitating timely solutions.
• Support cross-functional coordination by tracking action items and ensuring effective communication of schedule-related issues.
• Prepare regular scheduling reports and other project documentation as necessary.
• Perform other assigned duties as required.

Requirements

• Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of project scheduling experience, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience in supporting engineering, industrial, construction, mining, or heavy equipment projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of mining and/or bulk material handling projects is a plus.

Technical Abilities

Candidates should have practical experience and knowledge in:

• Primavera P6 (advanced proficiency required)
• Microsoft Project
• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling
• Resource-loaded project schedules
• Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Schedule forecasting and progress analysis
• Schedule baseline management

Salary: Starting at around $85,000 (Or more for qualified candidates) per year, with additional consideration based on experience and qualifications.
