Consolidated Networks Corporation (CNC) is looking for an electronics technician. This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position at Ft. Polk, the U.S. Army Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) located very near Leesville, Louisiana supporting the Warfighter Training and Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) Program. Candidate will perform primarily Equipment installation duties supporting multiple domain environment systems in a complex fast paced 24 x 7 DoD Army computing environment.
Requirements:
· Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate.
· Must be able to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain)
· Must be willing to work a flexible workweek.
· Must be able to communicate via two-way radio.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain post driving privileges.
· This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS.
· High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
· 2 years of experience with electrical systems and /or repair of electronic components and electrical/electronic industrial work experience.
Skills:
· Must have basic computer skills
· Must be able to troubleshoot basic electronics
· Must be able to operate hand tools and perform general carpentry tasks.
· Must be detail oriented
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Set-up, operate, maintain, repair, and install various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radio, television, telecommunications, and navigational aids), and industrial and measuring equipment.
· May be required to apply technical knowledge of electronics principals in determining equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring equipment operations.
· Will support routine periodic maintenance and perform repairs as needed on equipment.
· Perform required documentation in accordance with established procedures; consults the shift lead for clarification of standard procedures and non-routine customer issues.
· May receive technical guidance from senior level technicians.
· May be required to support other devices and will be cross trained, as needed.
· And other duties as assigned.
