Bronx Veterinary Center is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Medical Director to lead our growing team of veterinarians and support staff. Position Overview

The Medical Director serves as the clinical leader of the hospital and a strategic partner in its continued growth and success.

This individual will:

• Lead and mentor the veterinary team
• Maintain and elevate standards of patient care
• Develop and refine medical protocols
• Foster a positive, collaborative hospital culture
• Support professional development among associate veterinarians
• Partner with leadership on hospital growth initiatives
• Promote excellent client communication and patient advocacy
• Help drive financial performance while maintaining an unwavering commitment to quality medicine

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical veterinary experience
• Strong background in small animal medicine and surgery
• Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
• Passion for mentorship, protocol development, and medical excellence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coach, delegate, and support a high-performing team
• Organized, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented
• Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for practice growth and innovation
• Strong business acumen and comfort discussing financial performance, practice growth, and how sound business principles support exceptional patient care
• Current DEA License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain upon hire)
