Optometrist – Correctional Facility | Lakeview & Ontario, OR

Job Description:

ATC Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Travel Optometrist for a 13-week assignment in Correctional Facilities located in Lakeview and Ontario, Oregon.

This is a unique opportunity to provide essential eye care services in a correctional healthcare setting while earning competitive pay and making a meaningful impact on underserved populations.

Optometrist Assignment Details:

• Position: Travel Optometrist
• Location: Lakeview & Ontario, Oregon
• Setting: Correctional Facility
• Duration: 13 Weeks with opportunity to renew
• Pay: $100/hr
• Start Date: TBD
• Schedule: TBD

Optometrist Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision screenings
• Diagnose and treat common ocular conditions and diseases
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as appropriate
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient education regarding eye health and preventive care

Optometrist Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Active Oregon Optometrist license (or ability to obtain)
• Previous clinical experience required; correctional experience is a plus but not required
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a correctional healthcare environment
