Job Responsibilities and Requirements

• Zealously representing non-citizens in their immigration matters, detained and non-detained removal proceedings, and affirmative applications.
• Understanding of and experience representing immigrants in defensive removal representation and affirmative applications and benefits interviews before USCIS
• Understanding of immigration law to draft legal briefs and motions
• Understanding of immigration law to provide quality legal consultations, including brief advice and counsel
• This is a fully remote position and candidates must have the requisite fluency in technology to complete work remotely.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Admission to US State or DC bar mandatory.
• Must have 5+ years in Removal Defense.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• Comfortability working with individuals of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles.
• Comfortable with public speaking and highly motivated to cultivate new linkages.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Aptitude for thorough negotiation and advocacy.
• Ability to respond sensitively to clients’ urgent needs.
• Exceptional interpersonal, speaking, and writing skills and the ability to apply these skills in diverse situations.
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work as a team member.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Able to travel for individual merits hearings or in-person interviews as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $144,000.00 per year

License/Certification:

• attorney state bar license (Required)
