Facility Maintenance Support position available for The Jay Group a 3PL company located in Lancaster, PA. This position performs maintenance functions between two facilities in the Lancaster area. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a distribution or a fulfillment center.

Facility Maintenance Support Job Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance tasks for electric, plumbing, HVAC, lawn & tree care, housekeeping, powered industrial equipment, fire and security, fire suppression sprinklers, and pest control.
• Observes proper lock-out, tag-out procedures.
• Performs tasks with outside vendors to complete preventative maintenance and larger projects that cannot be handled by the internal Maintenance Team.
• Completes tasks to support Maintenance requests submitted by employees in all departments of the company and for any companies that lease space from Jay Group.
• Removes equipment requiring repair from use, effectively repairs equipment, and tests equipment prior to re-introduction to active production.
• Performs inspections of fire extinguishers, pest control units, facility temperature control units, and sprinkler systems as required within the facilities.

Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of related maintenance, carpentry, electrical, and equipment repair in a light industrial environment required.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Experience w/conveyors, photo-eyes, scanners and imagers, basic warehouse equip. including stretch wrappers, pallet jacks, bailers, compactors and PIT's required
• Experience with PLC's preferred.
• Ability to communicate findings of inspections and maintenance issues with team members of all levels.
• Remain detail oriented while multi-tasking
