Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain/Bereavement Coordinator to provide spiritual support, bereavement counseling, and pastoral care within a faith-based organization committed to serving individuals and families during times of crisis and loss. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding individuals through grief, facilitating religious and spiritual practices, and fostering healing in diverse communities. Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual guidance and pastoral counseling to patients, families, and staff facing terminal illness, grief, or crisis situations.
• Develop and implement bereavement support programs tailored to the needs of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
• Lead religious services, prayer sessions, and memorial events that honor individual faith traditions.
• Offer crisis intervention and conflict management to assist families during difficult times with sensitivity and clarity.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and community organizations to coordinate holistic care plans.
• Conduct educational workshops on religious studies, biblical theology, and spiritual well-being for staff and community groups.
• Mentor chaplain interns or volunteers while maintaining compliance with nonprofit faith-based organization standards.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a clergyperson or spiritual leader within a healthcare or nonprofit setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in bereavement support, terminal illness counseling, and crisis intervention.
• Strong background in religious teaching, pastoral theology, Christian counseling, and public speaking.
• Skilled in working with culturally diverse communities to provide inclusive spiritual care.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex theological concepts clearly.
• Experience in event planning for memorials or religious ceremonies is preferred.
• Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining compassion and professionalism.
