Exciting contract opportunity for a skilled school psychologist to make a meaningful difference in a school community near Laguna, NM! You’ll have the chance to provide essential counseling and psychoeducational services to students during the Extended School Year (ESY) this June—with additional involvement throughout the regular 2026–2027 academic year.

You’ll work closely with students, families, and school teams, offering direct support, participating in IEP meetings, and conducting vital psychoeducational evaluations for both Special Education eligibility and Gifted and Talented determination. This is an impactful role for someone eager to lend expertise in fostering student success and well-being.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as a psychologist is required
• Previous experience conducting psychological and educational evaluations
• Solid understanding of IEP development and the special education process
• Familiarity with—or willingness to collaborate within—the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) system
• Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and compliance
• Experience providing counseling and general psychological support in K–12 settings

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling services to students during ESY and the usual school year
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for Special Education and Gifted and Talented programs
• Accurately maintain and turn in service logs and all required documentation
• Actively participate in and offer insight during IEP meetings
• Collaborate with educational staff and serve as a resource for psychological support within the school community

This position starts June 1, 2026, with weekly ESY counseling sessions in June (one day per week, approximately 4 hours), then continues into the regular school year (August 2026–June 2027) for 2–3 days per week, 6 hours per day.
