TITLE: OD2A OUTREACH SPECIALIST
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a Qualified Health Professional. LMSW/LCSW preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
NYS LMSW/LCSW, CASAC.
EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated experience in delivering in-community care. Experience working with individuals with OUD, other SUD and co-morbid conditions. Experience with providing trauma informed care and harm reduction.
DUTIES:
· Work collaboratively with the Broome County Health Department and community stakeholders to assist individuals experiencing barriers with gaining access to care and resources
· Utilize evidence-based practices; motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapy, behavioral activation
· Oversee implementation of the “OD2A” statement of work:
o Support peers in providing linkages to care
o Link individuals to harm reduction (testing strips, naloxone, SEP) to populations at highest risk of overdose
o Assist with completing peer services feedback surveys and data collection
o Educate and train public safety personnel on evidence-based harm reduction strategies, focusing on people who are overrepresented in the criminal justice system
· Assist with crisis management when needed
· Responsible for documentation compliance following OASAS and Medicaid standards
· Attends BOAC and designated subcommittee meetings
· Attendance at OD2A meetings
· Oversee completion of required documentation
· Perform additional duties as assigned
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
