• You will coordinate monitor and expedite the efforts of the SUPSHIP office and supporting NAVSEA activities throughout the ship construction period focusing on events necessary to assume timely ship delivery.
• You will monitor the development and installation of the ship's systems, testing of these systems, readiness of the systems for certification and delivery.
• You will monitor and evaluate the planning, conduct of tests and trials, installation, testing, and sea trials.
• You will monitor the activities and problems confronting shipbuilder and SUPSHIP Gulf Coast departments by conducting regular conferences and establishing a reporting system to keep Code 154 and others informed of ship status and associated issues.
• You will review engineering change proposals, requests for waivers, requests for deviations and specification change notices.
• You will provide quality assurance expertise regarding the effect that proposed changes may have on the configuration, production schedules performance, cost, etc.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating the development, installation, and testing of ship systems by applying shipbuilding techniques, reading design drawings, utilizing contract requirements, and developing production plans and forecasts to ensure systems are ready for certification and delivery.
