Duties and Responsibilities
-
Scan and identify funding opportunities that align with the Center on Aging’s mission
-
Write grant proposals
-
Design logic models, evaluation protocols, needs assessments, process evaluations, and outcome evaluations
-
Assist in evaluation implementation and data collection
-
Perform quantitative and qualitative data analyses
-
Utilize GIS to create maps and identify areas and target populations of need/interest
-
Present results graphically and in text and develop presentations for local stakeholders, funders, community groups, and, for use in reports, conference presentations, and publications
-
Develop research manuscripts to disseminate findings to the academic community. Present findings to government officials, academic and community partners
-
Meet with faculty and staff to achieve project goals in a timely manner and align project activities to the priorities and interests of the Center on Aging (COA)
-
Prepare written reports, journal articles, and presentation materials
-
Report to the Director with routine updates on progress, issues, possible solutions, and other relevant topics

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
-
Possession of a Master’s degree in Gerontology, Public Health, Social Work, Social Sciences, or related field
-
Demonstrated ability to work well under the direction of a supervisor to accomplish research project goals and activities
-
Collaborate well with individuals and teams to develop project goals and action plans
-
Demonstrated ability to interpret and present information and ideas clearly and accurately in writing, verbally and by preparation of reports and other materials.
-
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with groups, team leaders and members, and individuals.
-
Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis
-
Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
-
Demonstrated ability manage work priorities and projects and provide deliverables on-time and with quality.

Professionalism in meeting and conferring with others
Desirable Qualifications
-
Experience in use of qualitative analysis software, data analysis techniques including Tableau and GIS
-
Experience in collaborating and maintaining good relationships with organizations in the aging network
