Synergy Catalyst is a manufacturer of emission control catalysts for natural gas, automotive, Diesel power plants and industrial VOC’s. The catalysts are primarily slurries which are then subsequently coated on monolithic substrates.
Job Description:
There is a need at Synergy for a process engineer, specializing in all aspects of emission control catalysts manufacturing. The applicant will oversee the chemical and mechanical engineering processes at Synergy. New catalyst technologies would have to be implemented, which include the scale up of slurries from laboratory scale to production quantities.
Job Functions:
Be able to attend to all the process engineering functions with respect to:
- Introduction of new catalyst technologies
- Monitoring and troubleshooting chemical processes
- Adaptation of current processes and technologies to improve manufacturing speed and quality
- Introduction and adaptation of processing equipment
- Introduction and revision to all processing documentation, along ISO guidelines-
-Affect root cause analysis and associated corrective actions on all manufacturing processes
Requirements:
- BS Engineering – Chemical preferred, Mechanical accepted– depending on the industry where experience was obtained.
- Must have experience in wash coat catalyst manufacturing
- Comfortable in learning new processes and associated equipment.
- Able to work independently, but also as part of a team when needed.
- experience in MS. Office, particularly Excel and MS access
- Able to relocate to the DFW area on a permanent basis
