Realty Resources Management LLC is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Compliance to help lead our Occupancy and Compliance Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an affordable housing compliance professional who is passionate about regulatory excellence, mentoring others, and helping ensure our residents and property owners receive exceptional service.
Working closely with the Director of Compliance, you'll play a key role in overseeing daily compliance operations, supporting the Occupancy team, preparing for regulatory audits, and helping maintain compliance across our growing portfolio of affordable housing communities.

What You'll Do
- Assist the Director of Compliance in overseeing the daily operations of the Occupancy and Compliance Department.
- Provide guidance and technical support to Occupancy Specialists and the Occupancy Manager regarding affordable housing regulations and eligibility requirements.
- Perform quality assurance reviews of certifications, recertifications, transfers, move-outs, and applicant files.
- Monitor compliance with LIHTC, HUD, Rural Development, HOME, and other affordable housing program requirements.
- Assist in developing and improving department policies, procedures, and workflow processes.
- Ensure accurate LIHTC rents, utility allowances, subsidy calculations, and compliance documentation.
- Support monthly Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) voucher submissions and regulatory reporting.
- Assist with EIV monitoring and compliance.
- Coordinate documentation for regulatory agency reviews, management reviews, and audits.
- Conduct routine internal file audits and monitor corrective action plans.
- Assist with annual reporting requirements for DHCD, WCMS, Spectrum, CCSR, and other regulatory agencies.
- Develop and deliver compliance training for Occupancy and Property Management staff.
- Monitor changes in affordable housing regulations and communicate updates to internal teams.
- Build positive working relationships with regulatory agencies, ownership groups, and internal departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing compliance, occupancy, or property management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Housing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Professional affordable housing certifications such as HCCP, COS, C3P, SHCM, TCS, or equivalent are preferred or must be obtained within an established timeframe.
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Rural Development, HOME, and other affordable housing compliance programs.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex regulations and communicate them effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and affordable housing software platforms.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, squat, and climb as needed.
