A&P Mechanic / IA Preferred Mustang Aviation – Pierre, South Dakota
Mustang Aviation is looking for an experienced Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Pierre, South Dakota. Inspection Authorization preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
This is a hands-on maintenance position supporting a mix of general aviation, King Air, piston, and turbine aircraft, as well as Part 135 aircraft. The right person will be dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and interested in joining a professional maintenance shop where their work matters.
This is not a dark corner hangar job. Mustang Aviation operates a clean, bright, well-maintained maintenance facility with painted floors and climate control, including air conditioning used during the summer months. Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on general aviation and turbine aircraft
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and service airframes, engines, systems, and components
- Perform aircraft inspections in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company procedures
- Support maintenance on King Air, piston, turbine, and Part 135 aircraft
- Accurately complete logbook entries, work orders, inspection records, and maintenance documentation
- Research and comply with applicable ADs, service bulletins, maintenance manuals, and technical data
- Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance and other team members to keep aircraft moving efficiently
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional shop environment
- Communicate clearly with management, coworkers, and customers when needed
Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
- Inspection Authorization preferred
- General aviation maintenance experience required
- King Air, turbine, or Part 135 maintenance experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
- Must be able to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, parts manuals, and technical publications
- Must be able to complete accurate maintenance records and logbook entries
- Valid driver’s license required

Compensation
Pay is based on experience and qualifications. IA, turbine, King Air, and Part 135 experience will be considered strongly.
Pay: $29.00 - $38.00 per hour
