A+ Virtual Learning is seeking exceptional New York State Certified Teachers to deliver engaging, standards-based virtual instruction to K–12 students throughout New York State.

We are looking for passionate educators who can create meaningful learning experiences, build positive relationships with students, and deliver high-quality virtual instruction aligned to New York State Learning Standards and district expectations.
Only candidates holding valid New York State teaching certification will be considered.
Current Teaching Opportunities
We are currently hiring certified teachers in one or more of the following areas:
- Health & Physical Education
- High School Science - Earth & Space Science, Living Environment
- World Languages - Spanish and French
- Secondary Mathematics (Grades 7–12)
- Students with Disabilities (Special Education) - All Grades/Dual Certification Preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- A valid New York State Teaching Certificate in one or more of the listed certification areas.
- Strong knowledge of New York State Learning Standards and Regents-level expectations where applicable.
- Experience planning and delivering standards-aligned instruction.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively teach in a virtual environment using technology and digital instructional tools.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with instructional leaders and school partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous virtual teaching experience.
- Experience supporting diverse learners, including English Language Learners and students with IEPs.
- Dual certification, particularly in Special Education and a content area.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, etc.) and video conferencing platforms.
Key Responsibilities
As an A+ Virtual Learning instructor, you will:
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned live virtual instruction.
- Implement instructional practices aligned to the 5 Pillars of A+ Virtual Learning.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging online classroom culture.
- Utilize multiple instructional modalities to maximize student learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and instructional records.
- Collaborate with administrators, instructional coaches, case managers, related service providers, and district personnel.
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and school staff.
- Participate in required professional learning and coaching sessions.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- Available during school hours (approximately 8:30 AM–4:00 PM EST)
- Flexible scheduling based on district assignments
- Instruction is delivered synchronously in live virtual classrooms
Compensation
- $30.00–$40.00 per hour
- 1099 Independent Contractor
- Part-time assignments
