About the role

We are a life insurance carrier seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead our annuities-related finance team. Reporting to the CEO and the Board of Directors, the CFO will own the business vertical's accounting, regulatory reporting, and treasury functions, and will serve as a key strategic partner to executive leadership. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and close processes.
• Direct the review and preparation of all regulatory financial filings, including statutory statements and related submissions to insurance regulators.
• Supervise treasury management activities, including cash management, liquidity, and investment coordination.
• Partner with the CEO and Board on financial strategy, planning, and reporting.
• Maintain compliance with applicable statutory accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop the finance and accounting team.

Requirements

• Senior-level finance leadership experience with 10+ years in the life insurance industry.
• Demonstrated experience with insurance company financial and regulatory reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
• Experience managing accounting, regulatory filing, and treasury functions at scale.
• Proven ability to operate as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and a board.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
