Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Chaplain to provide spiritual support and guidance within our community In the San Antonio area. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of Christian counseling principles. This role is essential in offering bereavement support, crisis intervention, and hospice care to individuals and families during challenging times. The Chaplain will also be responsible for educating others about spiritual matters and mentoring those in need.

Duties

• Provide spiritual care and counseling to individuals and families facing crises or bereavement.
• Conduct religious services, rituals, and ceremonies as needed.
• Offer crisis management support during emergencies or traumatic events.
• Plan and organize community events that promote spiritual growth and fellowship.
• Educate staff and community members on spiritual matters, fostering an inclusive environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care in hospice settings.
• Mentor individuals seeking personal or spiritual development.
• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and interactions with community members.

Requirements

• A degree in theology, divinity, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in crisis intervention and bereavement support is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on mentoring others.
• Proficiency in event planning to facilitate community engagement activities.
• Excellent written communication skills for documentation and educational materials.
• Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
• A deep commitment to Christian values and the ability to provide compassionate care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
