Location: Hybrid

This is a hybrid role with remote flexibility; however, candidates must already be licensed and in good standing to practice law in the U.S. Virgin Islands and be willing to travel to the territory for trials, critical hearings, depositions, and strategic litigation events.

While the position supports USVI matters, we strongly prefer a U.S.-based attorney for long-term integration with firm operations and eligibility under our benefits platform.

Position Overview:

Fischer Redavid is seeking a Senior Trial Associate with significant plaintiff-side litigation experience to manage and try U.S. Virgin Islands matters with a strong emphasis on courtroom execution, strategic case development, and trial readiness.

This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in high-stakes litigation, takes ownership of their caseload, and understands that strong trial outcomes are built long before a case reaches the courtroom.

The Senior Trial Associate will work closely with firm leadership to develop litigation strategy, position cases for maximum value, and serve as first or second chair at trial when necessary. This is not a volume-based role. It is an opportunity to build a meaningful trial record within a firm that prepares every case as if it will be tried.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage U.S. Virgin Islands litigation matters from filing through trial
• Develop and execute strategic litigation plans in collaboration with firm leadership
• Draft and argue substantive motions
• Take and defend depositions, including fact witnesses, corporate representatives, and experts
• Lead mediation strategy and negotiation preparation
• Prepare and serve as first or second chair at trial
• Maintain proactive ownership of deadlines, discovery, and case progression
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and operations teams to ensure procedural precision
• Travel as required for trials and key proceedings

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license and membership in good standing with the U.S. Virgin Islands Bar required at the time of application
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably plaintiff personal injury or civil rights
• Demonstrated trial experience or substantial first/second chair exposure
• Strong deposition and motion practice background
• Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation strategy
• Multi-state licensure (especially FL, GA, NY) a plus
