ASD|SKY, a progressive interior design, architectural and graphics firm, has an immediate opening for an Interior Designer with 7-10 years of experience specializing in Commercial/Corporate.

Aviation experience is required.

The opportunity exists for you to shape and grow a studio through a collaborative and strategic design process to deliver highly creative and well-detailed projects

Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the planning, programming, and design of complex aviation, hospitality, and high-occupancy public environments, ensuring operational efficiency, guest experience, and brand consistency.
• Develop passenger, guest, and visitor experience strategies through thoughtful space planning, wayfinding integration, and customer journey mapping.
• Coordinate with aviation authorities, airport stakeholders, airlines, hospitality operators, food and beverage tenants, security consultants, and facility management teams.
• Participate in terminal, concourse, lounge, hotel, conference center, event venue, and other public assembly space planning efforts from concept through implementation.
• Integrate operational requirements, life safety considerations, ADA accessibility standards, and security protocols into design solutions.
• Prepare and present design concepts, renderings, presentations, and material boards to clients, user groups, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in stakeholder workshops, visioning sessions, and user-engagement meeting
• Review submittals, shop drawings, mock-ups, and finish samples to ensure design intent and quality standards are maintained throughout construction.
• Support construction administration efforts, including field observations, punch lists, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
• Contribute to business development activities, proposal preparation, and client presentations focused on aviation, hospitality, and public infrastructure opportunities.

Requirements:

• Ability to develop guest-centric design concepts that balance aesthetics, operational requirements, and brand standards.
• Experience with complex, high occupancy public projects from programming through construction administration.
• Understanding of occupant load requirements, egress planning, accessibility standards, crowd circulation, and life safety design principles.
• Knowledge of public gathering space programming, event operations, and stakeholder engagement processes.
• Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility requirements, life safety regulations, and public-space design standards.
• Experience developing detailed finish packages, FF&E specifications, and construction documentation for large-scale projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows; experience with Enscape, Lumion, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and visualization tools preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams including architects, planners, engineers, signage consultants, and specialty vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative leadership style with mentoring experience.
• Strong presentation and client-facing communication skills
• LEED, WELL, Fitwel, or sustainability accreditation preferred.
• NCIDQ certification and/or professional registration preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative leadership style with mentoring experience.
• Minimum BS or BA in Architecture or Interior Design required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design, documentation, and contract administration.
