Administrative Assistant – Helicopter Flight Coordinator 2026 Exploration Program
General Accountability:
The Administrative Assistant – Helicopter Flight Coordinator is responsible for both providing administrative support to the project and flight tracking for the 2026 exploration drilling program. This support comprises a range of administrative and safety focused duties including but not limited to documentation and flight tracking of exploration helicopters which support the field and drilling programs, keeping track of personnel locations in the field, monitoring radio for any emergencies that occur, informing Geologists when support is needed in the field and when core is bought to site, file management, and supporting Project Management as directed a supervisor. Proper execution of the position significantly reduces the workload of program management personnel and supports the efficient and safe completion of the exploration program.
Nature & Scope of Position:
The North American Exploration group supports the Red Dog Mine and Teck Alaska through the discovery and definition of additional mineral resources with the goal of extending the life of mine operations. The Administrative Assistant – Helicopter Flight Coordinator supports the program by providing efficient and conscientious administrative and flight tracking support to ensure the safe completion of the program.
The Administrative Assistant – Helicopter Flight Coordinator will routinely interact with Teck personnel responsible for the management and execution of the 2026 exploration program as well as work closely with drilling and helicopter contractor and subcontractor personnel including radio communication and monitoring. The Administrative Assistant – Helicopter Flight Coordinator will report to the exploration project manager.
The position is seasonal with flight following lasting until helicopters leave site for the winter.
Projected timeline for the season: This position will last from 8/20/2026 to 10/15/2026.
Schedule/rotation: 2 weeks on, 1 week off working hours being either day or night shift.
