(KDi) is a 3rd generation steel fabricator. KDi is a family-owned company that has been in business since 1942. We do all our designs in house and build tables, platforms, large weldments, racks, trailers, and custom-built parts to our customers' prints. We use a 3D software to draw, three lasers to cuts parts, two pressbrakes, a CNC saw, and very skilled fabricators to assemble. We have also added a robotic welder, two rollers, and pipe benders to our shop. We recently built a new building where all our fabrication is housed and added a powdercoat booth. There are plans for another addition in the near future.

Job Description

We are currently looking for a 3rd shift Parts Utility Operator/Painter who is comfortable working in a busy fabrication shop. You will be working with our team in the laser, saw , paint shop to produce high quality parts that are then used in the production shop. You must be able to concentrate and stay on task in order to achieve the piece rate. We want someone responsible and willing to work! Must be able to lift 50 pounds, follow blueprints, and be self motivated. The position is float based on the needs in different areas of the shop, i.e. laser, robot, picking parts, Press Brake, etc. Responsibilities will include preparing materials for paint, monitor drying to ensure desired results, make sure there is total coverage of product being painted, adjust operating conditions to ensure proper quality, properly clean and maintain all equipment and paint booth, change paint filters and booth paper, wear proper PPE when painting, inspect painted parts and ensure top quality, Must be able to move around products bending, stooping, climbing, reaching and standing. Work in a safe manner and keeping work area clean and organized, forklift experience.
